Welcome to SAKRA Atelier, a sustainable slow fashion brand on the shores of Lake Superior.
I create bespoke wedding attire with a focus on natural, sustainable, and responsibly sourced fabrics such as organic satin, cotton, and linen. Pieces are designed in collaboration with the client: consultations begin with a conversation about style and fabric, then I take detailed measurements. From these measurements I make a custom pattern, source the fabric, cut it to size, and finally sew the garment. Once the garment is made, the client returns for a fitting and any necessary alterations are made.
Other services include alterations of formal wear, repairs, and repurposing of garments clients already own. Limited releases of wedding dresses and more casual attire are also available in my store and at pop-up markets around the Marquette area.
My name is Alexandra Kralova-Zender. I am a fashion designer, seamstress, yoga teacher, wife, and mother of two from The Czech Republic. I love to mountain bike, ski, travel, take my Akita Masha for walks, and spend time at the beach with family and friends.
